I started the download about ten hours ago, and it still has about an hour to go, if that's any indication of the speeds around here. Slow internet: I live in an area where 56k still is common though I'm on low end Satellite connection It took a while for me to get MGSO but it was worth it to me Okay, i figured that they wouldn't bother recommending something they knew wouldn't work, but it seemed safer to ask. And from my experience it works just fine with the GOG version Try launching Maneater in windowed mode to help your computer process everything.Rusty_Gunn: the reason for the "won't work on a digital copy that isn't from Steam" is that on other Digital Stores it was common for theĮxecutable to be encrypted, that causes issues for the utilities that need to to bug-fix it, but the GOG version isn't encrypted so that's not an issue. Running a game in fullscreen consumes a lot of processing resources which sometimes result in the game being unresponsive.

Game file corruption usually happened during the installation of the game or forcibly closing the program. Verify Game Integrity on SteamĪnother reason why your Maneater is crashing on launch or during the game is the corrupted game files.
